What is the difference between Cloud ERP and SaaS (software-as-a-service) model?

What is the difference between Cloud ERP and SaaS (software-as-a-service) model?

A Cloud ERP system means traditional ERP solutions hosted off-site. It is also flexible and scalable. The system has the capability to access real-time data from anywhere without using complicated and costly remote-access software.

On the other hand SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) model offerings are typically smaller. This is normally best for organizations with limited complexity, size and global presence. ERP system providers host SaaS model on their own infrastructures instead of locating the systems on-premise at the purchasing organization.

In SaaS model, the vendor will have the full control of the application and not the customer wheere as in Cloud ERP system your data and your application can be placed on server that you control. Both these models provide instant gratification, taking mere minutes to be up and running.

What is bolt-on?

What is bolt-on?

Bolt-on is an artificially intelligent, comprehensive execution system providing very specific functionality or technology to complement ERP systems. Bolt-ons employ client-specific business rules to meet unique needs. There are many useful applications of this type. The usual means of connection to other organizations with ERP systems is through software components.
Most software has historically been delivered as inflexible code focusing on its originally intended application. A much easier approach is the idea of components where separate, encapsulated software code is written that is easier to manage, upgrade and connect to host systems. Open systems can easily accept modifications, additions or linkages to external software. Components make open systems possible.
Since the underlying philosophy in early ERP systems was internal integration, there was initially little apparent value in developing open systems. However, the ERP user market soon identified the benefits of best-of-breed selection of modules, sometimes across vendors. Vendors then realized the need to offer applications components. The focus shifted from internal design coherence to the ability to communicate with external software. Service-based architectures were created enabling business transactions and data transfer from outside the core applications.
Some examples where bolt-on software is used are product data management, product life cycle management, customer relations, e-procurement, order tracking, warehouse management, data mining systems, etc.

How Enterprise Resource Planning system can help cash management?

How Enterprise Resource Planning system can help cash management?

ERP offers two options for making payments. Firstly, the cheque feature allows you to print a cheque for a vendor immediately, but not against a specific bill, which is comparable to the bill centric payment cycle found in accounts payable.

It is possible for you to verify the transaction by attaching a support document. And secondly, it is possible for you to record and post cheque you write through a chequebook. The system can also smoothly handle the transfer of funds from one cash account to another.

You can examine the cash balance report to verify the balances of your account to determine if you need to make a transfer, and you can also check to see if there are sufficient funds.

With the ERP system in place, the received payments can be deposited in two ways. The receipt function records both the receipt of payment and its deposit if you have already deposited the payment.

http://www.eresourceerp.com/How-ERP-system-can-help-cash-management.html

You may also receive payments, accumulating them in an account for later deposit. At this point you can create a "deposit slip" on the system, which posts the amounts of the deposits.

Indian SMEs take eresource ERP in their side

Indian SMEs take eresource ERP in their side

The first and foremost reason being that it has been designed by an Indian software solution company exclusively for the Indian manufacturing industry, especially the Small and Medium scale Enterprises.

Needless to say that the contribution made by the SMEs in the Indian manufacturing industry incomparable. What is more appreciable is that all these years they were contributing largely into the growth of Indian industry with their limited resources and infrastructure facilities.

Growth of any industry depends on what basic environment they work with. An advanced work environment will not only boost morale of their employees but also the outcome will be reflected in the quality of their product.

There was a time when implementation of ERP solution was a long lost dream for many of the SMEs in India. They never imaged implementation of ERP could be within their reach in near future. But introduction of an affordable low-cost ERP by eresource Infotech was a dream comes true for the Indian SMEs. The reason why we have come out with this kind of a solution is that if Indian SMEs could perform tremendously with the limited resources they have, they can also bring miracles in the industry if they are armed with right working environment. We were sure that the implementation eresource ERP will definitely change the way they work and also it can make the impact on their production sector, in both quality and quantity wise.

Another matter of success with eresource ERP is its quick implementation. The ERP system should be implemented quickly, efficiently, on time and on budget and with no interruption to the business. As far as Indian SMEs are concerned time factor is very important and fully understanding this scenario eresource ERP gives maximum priority in implementation process.

Over and above, eresource Infotech serves all our ERP customers directly, unlike some ERP vendors who have a strategy to serve the large client directly whilst, directing SMEs to their re-sellers or consultants. Though our client list too include many large enterprises, when it comes to business we are impartial. That's our policy practice, indeed.

SMBs consider implementing ERP system

 SMBs consider implementing  ERP system

Globalization and IT (http://www.eresourceerp.com/SMBs-consider-implementing-ERP-system.html) sophistication are forcing even small businesses to automate processes and integrate applications to facilitate stronger communication, data collection and analysis. ERP software systems are integrated business solutions intended for the planning, managing, controlling, and accounting for all of a company's resources.

It is the administrative and operational requirements, not the size of the company that determines if an ERP solution is required or not. Even small companies require most of the same basic ERP functions needed by larger companies.

eresource's cost-effective, web-based ERP solution, combined with eresource's flexible and affordable pricing structures, provides SMBs with a technology solution having all of the functionality and benefits of a "big company" ERP system - but with minimal investment and risk

SMEs are the most aggressive adopters of eresource ERP

SMEs are the most aggressive adopters of eresource ERP
A business solution to overcome the market challenges

Agility is the watchword

The way ERP system was used by organizations taking a rapid change. Initially an ERP solution was mostly preferred by manufacturing organizations only. And that too for the Finance and Accounting, Sales and Distribution, Materials Management/Purchase process. Lately they have included Plant Maintenance, HR, Transportation and Service modules for easy operational process.

Today every industry is looking for an ERP solution to run their business smoothly. Like the manufacturing industry, process industry also has benefited most from implementation of eresource ERP system. Fleet Management, Construction, Chemical, Automotive and Trading Industries all are finding eresource ERP system as an affective business solution to overcome the market challenges.

Apart from the above industries other industrial sectors like cement sector, power sector, and food sector are going for eresource ERP solution. Many construction and project companies have also implemented eresource ERP solution for an effective business process.

The SME segment in India has been one of the most aggressive adopters of eresource ERP software. In fact almost 60 per cent companies in our client list are from the SME segment. This increase in the penetration level in the SME segment is attributed to the introduction of low cost eresource ERP solution.

The implementation of eresource ERP helped the SMEs to get aid in smooth inventory management, timely scheduling of production cycles and shipment of goods, managing human resources and online data communication.

The emerging trend in the ERP market shows a steady increase in the implementation of ERP system in every industrial sector. As a result, these industrial sectors have witnessed tangible quantitative benefits in the post-ERP implementation era.

Companies that have implemented the ERP system must realize is that most of the time all the benefits are difficult to prove on statistical grounds as soft benefits like comfort in work life, maturity in planning, attitude changes, transparency, visibility etc are either practically impossible to measure or correlate such improvements to ERP implementation. For the real effect of ERP system, companies are supposed to set their objectives prior to implementation followed by measuring of the achievements after implementation, and only then should they conclude about the effects of ERP.

We must also remember that as the Indian market seems to be very encouraging for ERP implementation, the organizations must pay attention to the time-frame deployment. The structured implementation programme such as eresource ERP's Guaranteed On-Time implementation, can speed up system deployment and return on investment.
